The Auction House can move gold too, though it keeps a commission — you either cover that separately or end up with slightly less gold than you paid for. Same hour-ish wait as mail, purely because of how the AH itself works.

Got a resale operation, or just need a lot at once? Name the realm and we'll stand up a brand-new guild there, fill the bank to the full 10,000,000 gold cap, and it's yours — faction and name however you like, assuming the name's open.
