Spark of War

Spark of War

This is a PvP currency that was introduced in World of Warcraft in The War Within (WoW TWW) patch 11.0. In order to receive this currency, you must activate the PvP mode. Once activated, the following weekly quests will be available to your character:

• Sparks of War: Isle of Dorn
• Sparks of War: The Ringing Deeps
• Sparks of War: Hallowfall
• Sparks of War: Azj-Kahet

All four quests are taken in the city of Dornogal from the NPC — Ruffious at the coordinates: /way 58.8, 75.2. 100 units of Spark of War are awarded for each quest.

Additional ways to farm:

• Killing players from the opposite faction in the PvP quest area.
• Opening chests in the quest location (5 pieces per chest).
• Loot from rare enemies (mobs) in the quest location.
• Obtained from the War Supply Crate.
• Excavating purple mounds of earth (similar to treasure). You can get +5 pieces from each mound, but only in the location where the quest is being completed.

You can also get Spark of War from standard mobs in each of the four locations above, but the chance of getting it is so low (less than 10%) that it's not worth your time.
