What Stays Active While Your Subscription Is Paused?

Trader's Tender During a Pause

Players with a paused subscription continue to receive 250 Trader's Tender per month — a meaningful benefit compared to a fully cancelled subscription that grants nothing. However, if you hold multiple paused subscriptions on the same Battle.net account within the same region, only one 250 Tender grant is issued, not one per account.

If you have one active WoW account and one paused account, only the 500 Tender grant from the active account applies — it supersedes the 250 Tenders available on the paused account.

Adding Game Time During a Pause

You can purchase game time from the Battle.net Shop, use WoW Tokens, or activate expansion bundles whilst your subscription is paused — this will not cancel the pause. If the additional game time overlaps with the planned pause resumption date, your next subscription payment will shift to the day your total remaining game time runs out, rather than the original pause end date.

What Happens When Your Game Time Expires During a Pause?

Once your existing game time runs out, your WoW account transitions from Active to Paused status. You will not be billed. Your characters, progress, items, and account data remain intact — nothing is deleted or reset.
